Awesome AI Agents › Prompt Libraries
Awesome Copilot Agents is a curated index of markdown customization files for GitHub Copilot, collecting instruction files, prompt files, agent skills, MCP server entries and custom agent definitions in one repository. The premise is that Copilot produces better suggestions when it is given repository-specific context: coding standards, the frameworks in use, the team workflow and project-specific rules. Instead of documenting that idea abstractly, the repository stores the actual files and links to each one from a structured table of contents. The instructions section is the largest part and is split into boilerplates and templates, language and stack entries, framework and library entries, tool entries and workflow entries. Language coverage includes C, C-Sharp, C++, Go, Java, JavaScript, Kotlin, Lua, Python, Rust, Swift and TypeScript, each with a standard-focus instruction file describing the idioms and typical use cases of that language. Framework entries cover cases such as Cobra and Charmbracelet Bubble Tea command-line applications in Go, and Azure Function Apps and Express APIs in TypeScript on Node.js. Tool entries cover areas such as infrastructure-as-code and content management systems. Separate sections hold prompt files for AI development tasks, custom agent definitions for an AI development mode, agent skills, and MCP server listings, followed by a how-to-use section explaining where each file type belongs in a VS Code workspace so Copilot picks it up. The repository follows the awesome-list conventions, including remark lint configuration, and accepts contributions of new files. It is aimed at developers and teams who use Copilot in VS Code and want ready-made configuration rather than writing instruction and prompt files from scratch, and it doubles as a reference for how such files are structured.
