Sentient is a proactive AI companion designed to be a deeply personalized and context-aware assistant that integrates with various apps and platforms to provide a seamless and interactive user experience. The project is self-hostable, supporting various AI models including Ollama for text, llamacpp for voice, and HF-transformers for other functionalities. It features web search capabilities to autonomously provide daily briefs and enhance query responses with up-to-date information. The user interface is unified into a single chat environment, eliminating the need to switch between different conversations. The project is built with a tech stack that includes ElectronJS, Next.js, TailwindCSS, FastAPI, Neo4j, and several APIs for social media and search integration.
