OpenHands/OpenHands
OpenHands is an AI-powered platform that automates software development tasks, enabling developers to code less and produce more by modifying code, running commands, browsing the web, and integrating APIs efficiently.
Ralph for Claude Code is an autonomous AI development loop tool designed to continuously improve software projects using Claude Code, an AI coding assistant. It implements Geoffrey Huntley's technique to enable iterative autonomous development cycles where Claude Code refines the project until completion. The tool features intelligent exit detection that requires both completion indicators and an explicit exit signal to prevent premature termination. It also includes rate limiting to manage API usage and avoid overuse, with configurable hourly limits and a circuit breaker to detect and prevent runaway loops or errors. Ralph is installed once globally and can be used across multiple projects, making it a versatile tool for developers. It supports session continuity with a --continue flag to preserve context across iterations and session expiration with configurable timeouts. The tool outputs responses in JSON format with automatic fallback to text parsing, enhancing compatibility and error handling. The project includes a modern CLI with flags for output format, allowed tools, and session management. It offers an interactive setup wizard called ralph-enable that auto-detects project types and frameworks, imports tasks from various sources, and configures the project for autonomous development. Ralph also integrates with tmux for live monitoring, supports PRD import functionality, and includes a CI/CD pipeline with GitHub Actions for automated testing. Recent updates have improved permissions, fixed bugs related to exit signals and loop detection, and enhanced the setup and enable wizards. The project maintains comprehensive logging, verbose progress modes, and advanced response analysis with semantic understanding. It also provides a clean uninstall script for easy removal. Planned features include log rotation, dry-run mode, metrics tracking, desktop notifications, and a Git backup and rollback system. Ralph aims to streamline AI-driven software development by automating iterative improvements while ensuring safe and efficient operation through intelligent controls and monitoring.
