Morpheus is a decentralized network designed to power smart agents by integrating large language models (LLMs) and AI agents with blockchain technology, specifically Ethereum. The project aims to make smart agents accessible to everyone by connecting them to wallets, decentralized applications (Dapps), and smart contracts, enabling users to interact with blockchain assets and transactions using natural language. Morpheus incentivizes four key contributors to its ecosystem: the community of users, coders who develop the software and agents, capital providers funding development and operations, and providers of computation, storage, and bandwidth. This incentive model is supported by a fairly launched token, drawing inspiration from the success of Bitcoin and Ethereum in creating scalable blockchain infrastructure through open competition for digital tokens. The current version, Morpheus 0.0.6, supports Mac, Linux, and Windows installations and integrates an open-source LLM (defaulting to Llama2) with MetaMask wallet connectivity and Ethereum smart contract execution. Users can perform basic blockchain interactions such as querying their balance, retrieving their address, and sending ETH to other Ethereum addresses through natural language commands. However, the system is experimental and does not yet support connections to block explorers or price oracles, limiting its ability to answer broader transaction queries. Users are cautioned to carefully review all transactions before approval due to potential errors by the LLM. Morpheus provides extensive documentation including white papers, technical guides, tokenomics, and developer best practices to support community engagement and development. The project also includes separate repositories for local installation, smart contracts, frontend dashboard, compute nodes, and technical documentation, reflecting a modular and open-source approach. The network diagram illustrates the architecture and integration of various components within the Morpheus ecosystem. Overall, Morpheus represents an innovative effort to bridge AI and blockchain technologies, enabling more intuitive and decentralized interactions with Web3 through smart agents powered by AI and incentivized by token economics.
